The design group is supported by EE&T building services group, which consists of structural, electrical, mechanical, and HVAC engineers.
As an environmental engineering consulting firm, EE&T has significant experience with environmental permitting. We have been the environmental consultant for the Southeastern Public Service Authority (SPSA) for the past 12 years. Relevant projects completed for SPSA include runoff and pollutant loading calculations and permitting for landfills and transfer stations, and environmental impact statements for landfill expansions. EE&T also has an open ended environmental stormwater contract with the City of Newport News focussing specifically on stormwater management, data analysis, pollutant loadings, and BMPs. We have worked with several municipalities in Virginia in obtaining NPDES permits including Newport News Water Works, Rivanna Water and Sewer Authority in Charlottesville, and Appomattox River Water Authority in Petersburg, VA. Even as early as 1983, EE&T staff was working extensively with DEQ in developing BMPs for the Chowan River Basin.
